Haley Reveals Why She Had Tough Words for Both GOP, Dems in SOTU Rebuttal
Fresh off delivering the Republican rebuttal to President Obama's final State of the Union address, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley went "On The Record."
Haley, who is facing backlash from some conservatives, explained that she had strong words for both Democrats and Republicans because she believes that both parties must be responsible in order to set the country on a better course.
"You're never going to agree with everyone, and you're not going to agree on all things, but what we want to do is say, 'Look, let's talk about the issues that matter and, at the end, who's that right person that can step on on most of the issues that we can all agree on?'" Haley said.
As for tomorrow's Fox Business GOP debates, Haley said she's excited to welcome all the candidates to South Carolina.
"It's a great time time for South Carolinians to really get to ask the hard questions and get the answers," Haley said. "And I think the fact that tomorrow we're going to only have seven on the stage, it's going to be a time to hear about a lot of good policy. So I'm looking forward to it."
