President Obama continues to live in a "parallel universe," focusing on gun control and climate change rather than the economy and the terror threat, Bill O'Reilly said in his Talking Points Memo tonight.

As he outlined earlier this week, O'Reilly said that the president knows increased background checks will not stop criminals and terrorists from obtaining firearms.

"Criminals and terrorists are not gonna buy guns from dealers who do background checks. Of course the president knows that, but will not acknowledge it." said O'Reilly.

The "Factor" host argued that federal background checks on gun sales are necessary, but Obama's new executive actions are not a "panacea for sick violence."

He added that cleaning up the environment should be a goal, but not a "top five issue" when many Americans still cannot make enough money to prosper and the terror threat is "off the charts."

O'Reilly said everyone can see that the president's economic programs aren't working and called on him "to try something else."

"Although many Americans do live in a world of their own, it's dangerous when the leader of the free world does," he said.
