GOOD NEWS Passers-By Revive Baby After SUV Plunges Into Frozen Pond
An amazing scene unfolded last week in western Wisconsin after a young mother lost control of her SUV, plunging it into a frozen pond.
Authorities said Nycole Stream's vehicle went off a highway in Apple River on Wednesday and then down a steep embankment, where it came to a rest half-submerged on its side.
Stream's five-month-old son was underwater, but some heroic passers-by jumped into action to save the baby's life.
Luckily, a couple saw the vehicle go off the road and immediately stopped to help. Police said Pamela Blegen called 911 while Terry Blegen rushed into the icy waters.
Two more men quickly joined him, and they went underwater to find little Ayidden Stream and pull him out. He was unconscious, but the men were able to revive him.
Ayidden was taken to a hospital, but was back home by Monday.
Stream and a 16-year-old passenger were also pulled out of the 2001 Toyota Tundra. Neither suffered serious injuries.
