The Idaho middle school cafeteria worker who was fired for giving away a $1.70 lunch to a needy student said on "Fox & Friends Weekend" that she would do it again.

"I would do it again, I would feed any baby who is hungry," Dalene Bowden said.

The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District issued a statement that it had been speaking with Bowden about giving her back her job, but Bowden told Anna Kooiman that hasn't happened.

"I have not talked to the school district," she said. "The Idaho State Journal called me and told me they were going to offer me my job back. That's all I heard from them."

Bowden said she "would like to go back to my kids at Irvine School if that was worked out for me."
