Trump: I'm the Only Candidate That Won't Be Controlled by Donors
Donald Trump went "On the Record" to say that he's the only presidential candidate who won't be swayed by donors or special interest groups because he's funding his own campaign.
"I'm the only one self-funding," the billionaire mogul and 2016 GOP frontrunner told Greta Van Susteren. "I'm putting up my own money. And every single candidate that's running is controlled by people that give them money--whether it's Bush or Rubio, or any of them...Hillary Clinton more than anybody."
Trump said he's been "on the other side of it at the highest level," saying that he's contributed $350,000 to the Republican Governors Association.
Trump said that he's refused million-dollar donations because he's "not going to be controlled."
“I owe nothing to anybody. The only one I owe is to the American people. I’m gonna do a great job for them.”
