'In the FOXlight' Catches Up With the New Stars of 'Star Wars'
As fans around the world gear up for the new Star Wars flick to fly into theaters this weekend, “In the FOXlight” host Michael Tammero caught up with the cast of the sure-to-be blockbuster.
Director J.J. Abrams gave Fox fans a preview of what to expect in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” this Friday, starting with the characters.
“It’s a generational tale of Star Wars, and this is very much about the new characters,” said Abrams.
“While the original characters are critical, and the history is very important, this is a story about characters that you haven’t met before.”
Sure enough, this latest installment will introduce Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o).
The younger members of the cast are soon going to experience a significant change in their lives, said Harrison Ford, a.k.a. the beloved Han Solo.
Are you ready for your life to change? Tammero asked Boyega.
“My life is definitely changing already. I’m here with Fox News, talking about the Star Wars role. I’m not an extra,” he joked. “I’m lead, dammit.”
