One military dad gave his kids a sweet surprise when they went to see Santa this year.

It was just after the kids had sat down to take a picture when they realized they were being photobombed by somebody behind them.

They turned around to see their dad, Navy officer Rob Stella!

Stella has been a serviceman for 23 years. He and his family sat down on “Fox and Friends” this morning to share their story.

The officer had just completed a 41-hour journey from the Middle East and was waiting to surprise his family for the first time ever.

“The anticipation building up to it was making my heart just pop out of my chest,” he told Brian Kilmeade.

Stella had been deployed in Bahrain for a year, and was ecstatic to find out he’d be home a few days early.

The dad of three managed to make it home just in time for Christmas – and his daughter Maddie’s 10th birthday.

“I was so excited that I can’t even explain it,” said Maddie.
