Policeman Moved by Little Girl's Gift 'to Keep Him Safe'

The Christmas wish of one little girl who lost her family in a fire has inspired thousands of donations and Christmas cards.

Eight-year-old Safyre Terry lost her father and three siblings in an arson fire two years ago in Schenectady, NY.

Safyre, who was left with burns on more than 75 percent of her body, had only one Christmastime request: to decorate her entire tree with cards.

Safyre's aunt, Liz Dolder, didn’t think that was going to happen, so a family friend created an online fundraising page for them.

This week, their story went viral. As of noon on Wednesday, the crowdfunding campaign had picked up nearly 10,000 social media shares, and raised more than $120,000.

And the Christmas cards came pouring in, as well.

BELIEVE BELIEVE BELIEVE She did. When she said she can't wait to fill up the card tree my response was I don't think it'...
