Authorities in Virginia are investigating the mysterious death of a 21-year-old woman whose family says was murdered “in cold blood.”

Heather Ciccone was discovered dead Monday morning in the front seat of her car.

She was parked in the driveway of a home about 30 minutes from where she lived, Trace Gallagher reported on "The Real Story."

Police found Ciccone slumped over the steering wheel with a gunshot wound to her head.

At issue now is the nature of this wound, which officials say was found on the back of Ciccone’s head.

This “would be unusual for a suicide, but not impossible,” said Gallagher.

The family, however, believes Ciccone was brutally killed.

Ciccone’s sister Courtney has said that she was being stalked by another woman, who allegedly made death threats and unwelcome visits to her home. The situation reportedly involved issues regarding a man.
