New Twist in Arrest of TX Teen Dubbed 'The Adorable Drug Kingpin'

An atheist group put up a sign in the Illinois capitol that says there are "no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell."

"Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds," the sign read.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has been putting up the signs around the holidays for the past seven years.

Government officials said it falls within the right to free speech and they can't discriminate against others' beliefs by taking it down.

The sign was originally posted in protest after a different group was allowed to put up a nativity scene in the capitol.
