Judge Nap: 'When Guns Are Outlawed, Only the Outlaws Will Have Guns'

Police have arrested a 13-year-old girl who threatened to shoot up her middle school in Dallas.

Her motive? To get more Instagram followers, apparently.

Security patrols were stepped up on Tuesday after school officials were alerted to the girl’s post on the social media platform.

The teenager had uploaded a picture of a man pointing his gun at the camera, alongside a disturbing caption that declared everyone at T.W. Browne Middle School was going to die, according to The Associated Press.

Police say she also singled out eighth graders, warning that those students would be targeted at a specific time.

The girl later told investigators that she had gotten the photo online.

She now faces one charge of making a terrorist threat. Conviction, even as a juvenile, could mean up to 10 years of imprisonment.
