It looks like something out of a magazine ad, but an Oklahoma police officer really did put a donkey in the back of his patrol car.

The Norman Police Department said on their Facebook page that Officer Kyle Canaan was responding to a call about a donkey on the loose.

To help ensure the animal's safety, the department said, Canaan put the donkey in his car and took it to a nearby home where it could stay until claimed by its owner.

The photo has attracted attention on social media, with good reason.
