GOOD NEWS 8yo Girl Sends Thousands of Handmade Crosses to First Responders
An eight-year-old girl from Illinois has made it her mission to protect police officers and firefighters and spread God's word.
Arianna Nichols is sending handmade crosses with a letter of inspiration to departments throughout the country.
She's sent out more than six thousand crosses to 90 departments in 30 states, and even to Sydney, Australia.
Arianna said that she's always wanted to protect others and spread God's word.
She read one of her inspirational letters on "Fox & Friends."
Hello, my name is Arianna. I am 8 years old. I make crosses to spread God's word. God's word is peace, kindness, love, joy, patience, hope and faith. I am also Catholic, religious, loving and caring. I am a very happy girl. I hope my crosses inspire people to pray and love Jesus. I also hope my crosses protect you.
Arianna's mother Laura said she was a little apprehensive about how people would receive her daughter's openly Christian message.
But she said the response has been one of "overwhelming gratitude."
"Everybody seems very happy and excited and is really embracing it."
Laura said she couldn't be more proud of her daughter.
