Peters Warns About Syria War: '3-Dimensional Chess Played By Psychopaths'

After a Russian warplane was shot down by Turkey, Russian President Vladimir Putin has to do something to preserve his "macho image," Lt. Col. Ralph Peters (Ret.) said on "America's Newsroom" today.

Peters explained that Putin cannot directly retaliate against Turkey, so that's why he's deploying advanced missile defense systems to a Russian air base in Syria as a show of strength.

Peters said that Putin will also triple down on his strikes on the Turkish-backed, anti-Assad militias and insurgents within Syria.

"And Putin doesn't care about civilian casualties. He's just going to kill everybody he can to punish Turkey that way."
