A new ObamaCare rule set to take effect at the end of the year could threaten the craft beer industry, especially small breweries.

The Obama administration has just released a set of more than 2,000 regulations, including an ObamaCare rule on menu labeling.

It will require brewers to begin producing detailed calorie counts and other nutritional information for every beer they brew.

If brewers fail to supply the information, they will be unable to sell the product in any restaurant that has more than 20 locations, according to Americans for Tax Reform.

Supporters argue that menu labeling makes people more likely to make healthy choices, but critics say the regulations place an added cost on businesses.

Industry experts note that small breweries will be faced with a lose-lose situation by having to spend to supply the calorie information or being shut out of a profitable market.
