Jeramy Bush suffered a traumatic brain injury while serving with the Navy in Afghanistan in 2005.

Bush, who walks with a limp, also has injuries to his back, neck and hips, and faces multiple surgeries.

Now, thanks to the charity Operation Finally Home, Bush, his wife and their three children have a new, custom-built, mortgage-free home to call their own.

The four-bedroom, two-bath, two-car garage house has special features to accommodate Bush as he lives with his military injuries, such as wider doorways and a roll-in shower.

Operation Finally Home built the house with the help of H-E-B Grocery Stores and the Builders Association of the Corpus Christi Area.

"We've struggled a lot since we got back, with my disabilities and different things," Bush said. "It takes a huge burden off of us."
