NJ Clinic Botches Vaccines for 5 Kids, Gives HPV Dose to Toddler

An Australian mother says she's gotten backlash from scores of people on social media after she made an emotional plea for parents to vaccinate their children.

Last week, Rebecca Harreman shared a Facebook video of her 4-month-old son Austin, who is suffering from whooping cough.

She declared that those who refuse to vaccinate their kids are "just wrong."

She wrote:

“I'm tired. Damn tired. I've been on duty for over 3 weeks having to wake every single time my baby boy coughs for fear he will stop breathing. Every. Single. Time. I cannot and will not pass that duty to anyone else, because I just can't sleep.

So for those of you sitting on the fence on whether to vaccinate yourself and your kids or not... maybe this video will convince you.”

Since then, Harreman’s video has been viewed more than 1.2 million times. She wrote in a follow-up post that she was surprised by the response.

...and the haters are rolling in...Wow. I can't believe how much attention my post has gotten. While I'm completely...

Harreman said she received "literally hundreds" of private messages from people "on the fence" about vaccinations, along with many negative comments from "anti-vaxxers."

She eventually decided to set her account to "private."
