NC Gov on Refugees: 'My #1 Responsibility Is Protecting Citizens'

West on Syrian Refugees: 'No Military-Age Males Should Be Allowed In'

Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert joined “Fox and Friends” this morning to explain why his state is now part of the growing opposition to Syrian refugees resettling in the U.S.

Since the Paris terror attacks, at least 30 governors have spoken out against allowing more Syrians to enter the country. And it’s got nothing to do with hatred, Gohmert said.

The Congressman cited FBI Director James Comey’s recent remarks on the security clearance process, saying, “[He] makes clear we got nothing to vet them against.”

“We’re working with a blank here,” he told Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

“It is good that our governors are concerned,” he added. “Because our president doesn’t have a clue.”
