The fight against the Islamic State has now been passed on to ordinary American citizens, Dr. Sebastian Gorka said on Monday.

Gorka, the distinguished chair of military theory at Marine Corps University, joined Judge Jeanine Pirro today to sound off on President Obama’s refusal to change America’s official strategy versus the terrorist group.

“Nothing’s going to happen in the next 15 months on the strategic level,” said Gorka. “The White House wants to shovel this problem away onto the next administration.”

“So it’s up to us, it’s up to the American citizens, to demand that this not happen,” he added.

Gorka said that people should be on a “heightened level” of alert while out in public by reporting any suspicious activity immediately to the authorities.

They should also find out if their local counties will begin accepting new refugees, he said.

“Prepare yourself. Educate your loved ones,” said Gorka. “You must bear the responsibility for yourself until we have a new commander-in-chief.”
