To show support for France in the wake of Friday's attacks, people from all over the world are paying respects at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C.

They're bringing letters, flowers and even bottles of French wine.

Some people are showing up because they have no where else to go to find out if loved ones are okay.

One woman who has not heard from her sister said not knowing her whereabouts "is like a knife in her heart."
