Judge Andrew Napolitano said on "Special Report" tonight that the possibility a bomb brought down a Russian passenger jet in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula is "devastating politically" for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Judge Napolitano explained that Putin is seen as the "iron man" in the region, a reputation that could be damaged if the plane was brought down by an ISIS terror attack.

"I think the government already knows it's a bomb. I think they want to spoon-feed it to us, because the definitive determination that it was a bomb will be devastating politically and will change a lot of things," Judge Napolitano said.

Charles Krauthammer added that if the bomb theory proves to be true, then Putin will be forced to do "something major" in retaliation.
