Don't miss the powerful Fox News Reporting special, "Destiny and Power – The Private Diaries of George Herbert Walker Bush," anchored by Brit Hume, on Friday at 10p/1a ET. The special will re-air on Saturday and Sunday at 8p ET on Fox News Channel.

In a new biography, George H.W. Bush reveals to Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham some new criticism of former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

Bush expressed some dismay over how Cheney and Rumsfeld reacted to the 9/11 attacks, believing that Cheney acted too independently of his son, George W. Bush, and was too hawkish.

And he referred to Rumsfeld even more harshly, saying, "I don't like what he did," and that Rumsfeld's "iron-assed" views hurt his son's presidency.

Based on Meacham's new book, a brand new Fox News Reporting special - premiering Friday at 10p ET - will now give viewers an exclusive look at a side of America’s 41st President never before seen – or heard.

For the first time, you will hear Bush’s private thoughts, spoken into a hand-held tape recorder. Capturing intimate moments of triumph and sorrow, these historic recordings portray a President that the public never knew. You will hear first-hand accounts from those who know the burden of our nation’s highest office, including Presidents George H.W. Bush, Barack Obama, and George W. Bush.

In addition you will hear from Vice Presidents Dan Quayle and Dick Cheney, as well as Secretary of State James Baker, Neil Bush and author Jon Meacham, whose work on this book spanned almost two decades.

Through Fox News Reporting’s exclusive access, you will come to know the 41st President in a new and revealing way.
