A Labrador puppy lost at sea in Italy was picked up by sailors and reunited with his owner.

Sailors with RYCC Savoia caught the daring rescue on film and uploaded it to YouTube.

From the looks of it, they were hundreds of yards from shore.

The poor pup was believed to have been in the water for hours, according to Daily Mail.

The puppy reportedly slipped from his collar aboard a ferry and fell into the water, as the ship continued toward its island destination 20 miles from Naples.

He was returned to shore and warmed up with a hairdryer.

The pooch is said to have been reunited with his owner and doing well.
