On "Hannity" tonight, Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz said that Barack Obama's presidency has led to the election of so many Republican senators, representatives, governors and state legislators because his policies have been such a "spectacular failure."

"Obama is the worst negotiator perhaps in the history of American presidents," Cruz said, slamming Obama in particular for the Iranian nuclear agreement and how he's handled Russia's growing presence in the Middle East.

"What he does with Putin and Iran is that he just surrenders and gives them everything," Cruz said.

He explained that one of the biggest differences between him and Obama - and the other Republican candidates - is that he will stand up and talk tough to foreign leaders.

Cruz said that he would tell Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei that under no circumstances will the Islamic republic be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

"I think I am the one candidate, and the one president, that the Ayatollah Khamenei will understand I’m not bluffing."
