A Massachusetts woman narrowly avoided injury or worse when a piece of wood flew off another vehicle and went straight through her windshield.

The incredible photo was posted on Facebook by the Massachusetts State Police.

The Holyoke woman, 67, was not hurt when the 4x4 wooden post slammed into her Subaru.

Police said the object fell on to Interstate 91 in Springfield this morning and was run over by a tractor-trailer, sending it airborne and into the woman's vehicle.

Police noted that the incident is a reminder to all motorists to tightly secure their loads.
