A study found that more than 99% of professors who disclosed their political contributions in the third economic quarter donated to a Democratic candidate.

Only one professor out of 47 gave to a Republican candidate.

The 46 other professors collectively donated $20,875 to Hillary Clinton and $8,417 to Bernie Sanders.

Conservative education watchdog Campus Reform used Federal Election Commission data to conduct its report.

Alexandra Smith of the College Republican National Committee said it shows the “top-down, closed structure” of universities these days.

“What’s really dangerous about it is that it creates this homogenized culture where everyone is just engaged in the same kind of group-thought, and there really isn’t a diversity or tolerance for other forms of opinion.”
