The New York Times on Thursday called on Chris Christie to drop out of the presidential race, in a staff editorial.

"The point is that New Jersey is in trouble, and the governor is off pursuing a presidential run that’s turned out to be nothing more than a vanity project," The Times argued.

Christie told Bill O'Reilly tonight that the The Times doesn't like him because he's a successful Republican in a blue state.

"The New York Times can say whatever they want," Christie said. "I'll tell you this: I take a deep bow. If The New York Times hates me, that means I'm really getting some place."

"If they don't like it, too bad."
