Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) went at it at the House Benghazi committee's hearing with Hillary Clinton.

After Gowdy, the committee chairman, brought up numerous emails from Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal to Clinton, Cummings challenged him to release publicly the transcript of Blumenthal's appearance before the committee.

Clinton has said emails from Blumenthal were unsolicited, but Gowdy attempted to challenge that using the emails.

Cummings, the ranking Democrat, accused Gowdy of "hiding" information from the public by not releasing the transcript of the testimony.

Democrats argued that the testimony of Blumenthal provides context for the emails Gowdy was referring to.
