At last night's Democratic debate, candidates were asked if "black lives matter" or if "all lives matter."

“Black lives matter,” Vermont senator Bernie Sanders responded without hesitation.

“Black lives matter,” former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley said. "And we have a lot of work to do to reform our criminal justice system, and to address race relations in our country.”

Hillary Clinton agreed with the other Democratic challengers, calling for a “new New Deal for communities of color.”

Dr. Ben Carson said on "The Kelly File" tonight that the responses were typical of the political correctness that dominates the country.

"Of course all lives matter, and 'all lives' includes black lives," Carson said. "We have to stop submitting to those who want to divide us up into all these special interest groups."

He said there are many policies that the Obama administration has embraced that hurt black lives and all people in difficult economic situations.
