Outrageous WATCH: Woman Accused of Live-Streaming Her Drunk Drive from Bar
A Florida woman caused a panic on social media, then was arrested, after she broadcast herself apparently driving drunk in a live video stream.
Authorities received 911 calls after Whitney Beall, 23, admitted on the Periscope live video stream that she was driving drunk over the weekend.
Since officers did not have work access to the service, one officer used his personal phone to try to figure out where Beall was driving in the Lakeland, Florida, area.
Officers were able to track her down after noticing landmarks that Beall was passing via the live stream.
FOX 13 News in Tampa reported:
Lakeland police say Beall received numerous text messages to stop driving before she killed someone or herself.
Beall told her viewers she was "drunk," "f---ing drunk," said she had a flat tire, and also said she didn't know where she was.
"I really hope I don't get a DUI," she says seconds before she hits a sign in the median, which was also caught on video.
"I'm really drunk, and I'm drunk on I-4," she says, even though she was not on Interstate 4.
Authorities say after Beall was located, she hit a curb as an officer directed her to pull over.
Her car had a flat tire. Beall was arrested on a DUI charge after failing a field sobriety test and refusing to take a Breathalyzer.
