'Absolutely' I'm a Feminist: Hillary Sits Down with Lena Dunham of 'Girls'
Ed Henry reported on "The Real Story" the latest developments in the Hillary Clinton campaign, including some negative poll numbers and her upcoming interview with actress Lena Dunham.
A new Fox News poll reveals that a majority of voters think Clinton is lying about how her emails were handled while she was secretary of state.
The poll found that 58 percent of voters think Clinton is lying, including 31 percent of Democrats, 64 percent of independents and 82 percent of Republicans.
Overall, just 32 percent of voters said Clinton isn’t lying. Meantime, a new head-to-head poll shows Carly Fiorina now ahead of Clinton by a point.
In the new sit-down interview with the star of the popular HBO comedy "Girls," Clinton answered "yes" to Dunham's question about whether she considers herself a feminist.
"Absolutely. I’m always a little bit puzzled when any woman of whatever age, but particularly a young woman, says something like, ‘well, I believe in equal rights but I’m not a feminist.’ Well, a feminist is by definition someone who believes in equal rights," said Clinton, adding that being a feminist does not mean that a woman "hates men"
The interview will also reportedly focus on Clinton's experiences in her 20s, women's health issues and student loan debt.
Clinton also recalled that she twice turned down Bill Clinton's marriage proposals before she said "yes."
"I was terrified about losing my identity and getting lost in the, kind of, wake of Bill's force-of-nature personality," Clinton explained.
Henry, noting that Clinton has a 72% unfavorability rating among white men, said that the interview is part of an effort by her campaign to connect with millennial female voters.
The full interview is set to be released Tuesday. Check out another clip below, via Politico.
