On "The Five" today, Greg Gutfeld said he was hoping for the GOP presidential candidates to better show they understood the threat of radical Islamic terrorism at last night's debate.

He noted that Marco Rubio had some compelling comments, and Lindsey Graham made an impression at the earlier debate, calling on Americans not to lose sight of the big picture.

"But the hard truths heard last night revealed what also wasn't said," Gutfeld said. "As the conversation went deep, others went for coffee."

He explained that the U.S. needs politicians who are deadly serious about the threat posed by terrorism.

"What do we do about the jihadists coming here - and those already here? What about the massive cyberattacks we just experienced? Will the more vile target hospitals or transportation?" Gutfeld wondered. "Every day, some ghoul gets one step closer to doing something unspeakably bad."

"If you don't understand this threat, or refuse to learn, or prefer to coast on platitudes, do us a favor and bow out now. You're a danger to yourself and to this country."
