Carson: We Need U.S. Boots on Ground to Drive ISIS Out of Iraq
Dr. Ben Carson explained on "The O'Reilly Factor" how he would defeat ISIS.
He said that he would use all available means, including economic possibilities, covert activities and U.S. boots on the ground.
"We've called for the development of this coalition for all the nations in that area who have an interest, but we're not providing any leadership for them," Carson said. "So, of course they're not going to form spontaneously."
Carson explained that he wouldn't put U.S. troops in Syria, but instead use American forces to drive ISIS out of Iraq.
"You push them up into Syria, and you regain control of Iraq," Carson said. "That's a big part of the victory, because that's part of their caliphate. That's the majority of the caliphate, in Iraq."
He said that would make the terror group appear to be losers, making it harder for them to recruit people.
