Former California governor and international movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger is celebrating 32 years as a U.S. citizen.

The star of box office smashes such as "The Terminator" and "True Lies" sent out a tweet this afternoon that said, "Today is one of the proudest days of my life. 32 years ago I became a US citizen. Grateful to be here and give back."

NBC recently announced that Schwarzenegger would replace Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as the host of "Celebrity Apprentice."

The show will return for the 2016–17 television season with Schwarzenegger as "CEO."
