A Washington state high school football coach is under investigation for post-game prayers.

Bremerton High School assistant football coach Joe Kennedy said he has prayed after games on the 50-yard line for nearly a decade.

The 20-year Marine veteran said he has never asked students to join him; they do so voluntarily.

The school district’s policy says that staff shouldn’t encourage or discourage students from praying.

Kennedy wrote on Facebook that he was warned that he could lose his job over his post-game ritual.
