Passengers on an American Airlines flight helped restrain a disorderly woman who allegedly kissed a flight attendant, then punched her in the face.

Witnesses say that an unruly passenger on the Chicago-bound flight caused the pilot to land in Indianapolis yesterday.

The passenger allegedly kicked and screamed, bit another passenger, kissed a flight attendant and then punched her in the face.

The pilot asked large passengers to restrain a fellow passenger. They held her down until the pilot was able to land.

The woman was charged with battery with injury, battery without injury, battery of a public safety officer, criminal recklessness, disorderly conduct and disruption of the operation of an aircraft.
