WATCH: Iran Releases ISIS-Style Video, Vows to 'Humiliate' U.S. If War Breaks Out
Iran's supreme leader has released an ISIS-style YouTube propaganda video, declaring that his country would defeat the United States if a war breaks out.
The video from Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, entitled "If any war happens...," begins with President Obama stating that the U.S. could "knock out [Iran's] military" quickly if it chose to do so.
Khamenei then says "our predecessors used to call such statements 'boasting among strangers.'"
“We neither welcome nor begin any war,” he continues, as the video shows images of the Iranian military, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and an animation of an Iranian missile striking U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.
“They must know that should any war break out, one will emerge humiliated out of it. [It] will be invading and criminal America,” he concludes over an image of U.S. troops carrying a flag-draped coffin.
Khamenei's video comes just days after he said that "God willing," Israel will not exist 25 years from now. Republicans continue to argue that the Iran nuclear deal will have disastrous consequences.
"Never before in history has the world faced such a grave and ominous threat. This is not just about Israel. Nor is it just about America. A nuclear Iran is a threat to every person in the world." Rep. Robert Pittenger (R-NC) wrote on FoxNews.com.
President Obama, who has garnered enough support from Senate Democrats to ensure that the historic accord will go through, has argued that those in opposition want a war with Iran.
Fox News national security analyst K.T. McFarland reacted this morning on "America's Newsroom," saying that the video shows Iran is "doubling down on their evil ways."
McFarland said Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry are counting on Iran not to cheat on the deal and to stop supporting terror, but she said Iran is already cheating on the agreement.
The Obama administration has downplayed Khamenei's inflammatory rhetoric in the past, but McFarland pointed out that he is the one making the key decisions in Tehran.
"The guys that Secretary Kerry sat down with, they might be nice guys. They went to American universities for graduate school. ... But they can be fired on a dime. The guy who really counts is [Khamenei], who really does still believe America is the Great Satan, America is enemy #1," said McFarland.
