The nation is pausing today to remember the victims of the Sept. 11 terror attacks that claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people in 2001.

The World Trade Center site, the Pentagon, and the Flight 93 National Memorial are among the places that Americans are visiting to pay tribute to the victims of the attacks.
