A New Jersey pizzeria owner is making it his mission to ensure the world knows that police lives matter, one slice at a time.

Rick DeLorenzo, owner of DeLorenzo's Pizza, posted on Facebook that all uniformed members of the local police force are welcome to eat for free at his restaurant for the entire month of September.

DeLorenzo explained on "Fox and Friends Weekend" that he decided to offer free food to cops because he saw that law enforcement was under attack by groups like Black Lives Matter.

"I wanted to do something to reverse the negativity, do something positive," DeLorenzo told Anna Kooiman. "I'm not even thinking about the money, to tell you the truth. I'm looking to make a statement against the negativity."

"Give them the respect they deserve. They're laying their lives on the line every day. They deserve respect."
