Gripping GoPro video reveals the heroic rescue efforts of lifeguards at Huntington State Beach in California.

The compilation video was posted ahead of the Labor Day weekend to warn swimmers to use caution while in the ocean.

“Weather, surf, and crowd conditions along the California coast are lining up a very busy Labor Day weekend for California State Lifeguards. If you visit a beach, lake or reservoir this weekend, make sure to swim in front of a lifeguard, don't mix alcohol and aquatic activities, and never swim alone,” California State Lifeguards posted on Facebook.

Lifeguards at Huntington State Beach rescued 470 people over a two-day period last weekend.
