Commuters jumped into action to help foil an attempted kidnapping on a Washington D.C. Metro train yesterday morning.

Authorities say a woman tried to snatch a 2-year-old girl from her stroller on an Orange Line train. The child was strapped in, prompting the woman to let go.

A group of men who witnessed the attempted kidnapping quickly came to the mother’s aid, wrestling the suspect to the ground and holding her down until cops arrived.

The suspect, who did not cooperate with police, has been arrested and charged as Jane Doe.
