Donald Trump today announced that he had signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee for president, ruling out a third-party bid for president.

“I will be totally pledging my allegiance to the Republican Party and the conservative principles for which it stands,” he said.

Trump added that he has “absolutely no intention of changing his mind."

He also told reporters that he got “absolutely nothing” for signing the pledge other than the assurance that he will be treated fairly by the Republican National Committee.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie signed the pledge earlier today on “America’s Newsroom.”
