O'Reilly: Point of the Iran Deal Is to Avoid War, Nothing Else
In his Talking Points Memo tonight, Bill O'Reilly reacted to President Obama getting enough support in the Senate to make the nuclear agreement with Iran a reality.
"The real bottom line is that the deal helps Iran and doesn't help the USA or our allies," O'Reilly said.
He pointed out that Iran will now have more money, weapons and power to continue destabilizing the Middle East and sponsoring terror.
"What does America get? What does Great Britain get? What does France get?" O'Reilly asked. "The answer is no war, at least in the short-term."
O'Reilly said that the deal will go through because Western powers do not want another war in the wake of Iraq and Afghanistan.
He said that no one believes the deal will actually benefit the West, pointing to a recent Quinnipiac University poll that found 55 percent of people disapprove of the deal, while only 25 percent approve. He added that a recent Fox News poll found that 75 percent of people do not believe that Iran will honor the nuclear agreement, while only 18 percent believe that they will.
"So you can see the folks get it. Talking Points understands the gravity of the situation and wishes President Obama would tell us the truth: The deal is to avoid war. Period. Nothing else."
