A 4-year-old Las Vegas boy is dead after his grandfather left him in a hot truck, police say.

Authorities say that the child’s grandfather forgot him in the back seat after they returned home from running errands.

The little boy, whose identity has not yet been released, was in the car for an hour-and-a-half.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

The boy is the 16th child to die in a hot car this year.
