Report: 2 People Killed, 2 Injured in Shooting, Stabbing in Louisiana
A police officer who was allegedly shot by a suspect, along with a stabbing victim, died Wednesday in Sunset, Louisiana, officials said.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said the incident began as a domestic dispute when an officer responding to the scene was shot outside a home.
Guidroz said that after shooting the officer, the suspect then drove from the house and ran his car into a convenience store where he barricaded himself.
A SWAT team made entry shortly before 6 p.m., using tear gas to get the suspect out. He is currently in custody.
Acadian is transporting the suspect to an area hospital. No other patients. 1 unit will remain on scene. 2 dead and 2 injured
