Trump to O'Reilly: If Elected, Deportation of Criminal Aliens Will Start on 'Day One'
Donald Trump said on "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight that illegal immigration is out of control in the U.S., and we must crack down on people who are in the country illegally.
"We have no laws anymore. We have no order. We don’t even know how many people are in here illegally," Trump said.
Bill O'Reilly pressed the Republican presidential front-runner about his controversial vow to deport illegal immigrants en masse.
The host posed a hypothetical scenario of two children living in Los Angeles with illegal immigrant parents. O'Reilly asked whether Trump would be willing to send in ICE agents and lock up otherwise law-abiding people.
Trump said the country needs to start a "process" because the situation has gotten out of control.
"Isn't there a better way than that type of confrontation?" O'Reilly asked.
Trump did not detail how he would handle illegal immigrants en masse, arguing that the only reason these questions are being asked is because of his tough stance on the issue.
Trump vowed that if he is elected, he will immediately move against criminals and violent gang members that are here illegally.
"These are tough dudes," Trump said. "If I'm elected, they're going to be out of here day one. We're going to get them the hell out of our country. They're going to be out so fast your head will spin."
"What’s happening to this country is very sad, and we’re a laughing stock all over the world."
