Fiorina: 'A Nation That Can't Secure Its Border Can't Protect Its Sovereignty'
Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said on "The Kelly File" tonight that immigration is a festering problem that's discussed every election cycle, but never gets fixed.
Fiorina said we need to secure the border, fix the legal immigration system and figure out what to do with the millions of illegal immigrants who are already in the U.S.
She said that birthright citizenship, by which a child born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants is automatically an American citizen, is in the Constitution and she would not change that.
She said that we should instead focus our energy on what we haven't done for 25 years: securing the border and fixing the legal immigration system.
"A nation that cannot secure its border cannot protect its sovereignty," Fiorina stated.
She said that the American people are tired of politicians' lack of results, and they want to see a candidate with a track record of problem-solving and leadership.
