A Florida man is accused of impersonating a member of SEAL Team 6 to solicit money.

Authorities say that 54-year-old Freemane Brown was aggressively demanding donations for veterans outside of a grocery store.

He was wearing a Navy uniform, as well as a Navy Cross, Silver Star, Navy Seal Trident and Jump Wings. Police say the items on his uniform were not in compliance with standard military regulations.

Brown initially told police that he was a former member of Navy SEAL Team 6, but he later admitted that he was never in the Navy. He also told police that he bought all of his military items from a surplus store.

Brown was charged with unlawful use of a military uniform.
