ISIS Affiliate in Egypt Claims It Beheaded a Croatian Hostage
An ISIS affiliate in Egypt claims that the terror group has beheaded a Croatian hostage.
A photo posted online purports to show the body of 30-year-old Tomislav Salopek, who was abducted from Cairo in July. Salopek was a subcontractor with CGG, a French geophysical services company, according to the Guardian.
The Egyptian interior ministry’s press office told the Guardian that officials are investigating the claim.
“We have seen this news online but are currently making our own checks. If we confirm that it is indeed true, we will inform the media through a statement,” a spokesperson said.
