A final hearing was held today for a Washington Post reporter who is imprisoned in Iran.

Jason Rezaian has been held in the Iranian prison for more than a year on charges including espionage. Rezaian, the Washington Post, and the United States deny the charges against the reporter.

Rezaian’s brother Ali said on “Happening Now” that the jailed journalist is “really isolated, very depressed.”

Rezaian’s family could learn his fate within a week. Ali said that there’s no evidence against his brother, and he hopes that “the Iranians will realize that the right thing to do is release him.”

Ali added that he’s glad that the Iran nuclear deal is putting a spotlight on Iran.
